Angelina Arts Alliance is thrilled to announce that its administrative
and box office operations will be moving to a new, highly visible and centrally located space. The new address—108 S. First Street—is more accessible to all parts of the city, and
construction on the new space is scheduled to be completed by late summer or early fall.
“Angelina Arts is excited to move its administrative and box office downtown! This move
represents a bold step forward at a time when the arts will be even more critical to the cultural and economic vitality of our city. Lufkin’s downtown is growing, and we are thrilled to be a part of its future success,” states Jennifer Allen, the Executive Director of the organization.
The decision to move is part of a strategic plan crafted by the Board of Directors and staff, and as a means of supporting the cultural growth of its community. The new office space will also be Lufkin’s one-stop shop for arts and entertainment in Angelina County.
In light of the organization’s recent growth and the anticipated addition of new staff members to the current staff of three, the move will provide much needed space, as well as an opportunity to better utilize the skills and talents of interns and volunteers.
For the past 19 years, Angelina Arts has conducted its administrative business at the Angelina Center for the Arts on the Angelina College campus. Despite moving the offices away from the campus, the organization will continue its deep and abiding relationship with the college, as it remains vitally important to the Angelina Arts’ mission, as well as its past, present and future successes.
