UTILITY WORK WILL REQUIRE CLOSURE THURSDAY IN NACOGDOCHES

Date:

Utility contractors will be installing new power lines on Thursday at busy Nacogdoches intersections and traffic control will help keep delays to a minimum.

Power lines will be installed along BU 7 (East Main Street) in Nacogdoches beginning about 8:30 am Thursday. Power to traffic signals will be interrupted at the intersections of BU 7 at FM 1275 (University Drive) and BU 7 at Lanana Street while the work is done. TxDOT will operate a generator at the intersection of BU 7 at FM 1275 and stop-and-go traffic patterns with signage will be in place at Lanana Street and East Main Street intersections.

Motorists should expect delays as power lines are stretched across the roadway at intermittent times throughout the day. Work is expected to be completed by 5 pm Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists are urged to reduce speed in the area and obey all signage. Stay alert and prepare for intermittent lane or road closures or choose alternate routes.
