Tribute to Life Day in Angelina County

Date:

Every life has a story worth being written, worth being told, and worth being celebrated from beginning to end.

As the storybook makes a mark in the chapter for life here in Angelina County, The Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin and Hospice in the Pines Incorporated have partnered together to present a Tribute to Life Day in Angelina County.

Whether we capture the memories of one’s beginning or end, both of these organizations strive to celebrate the gift of life and find joy in embracing one’s story.

Whatever the story, whatever the life journey, the Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin embraces the opportunity to serve the community at the beginning stage of life and through the first two years. When the last chapter begins to develop, Hospice in the Pines embraces the opportunity to serve the community with compassionate care and bereavement services.

Pay tribute to the life-affirming work of these two organizations on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Pitzer Garrison Convention Center in the Texas Room at 10 a.m. Lufkin Mayor, Bob Brown, will present a proclamation naming the 2nd Tuesday in January as Tribute to Life Day Lufkin, Texas and County Judge, Wes Suiter, will also proclaim the 2nd Tuesday in Jan. as Tribute to Life Day Angelina County.

Come and enjoy free coffee and cookies with our staff and volunteers; hear life-affirming messages from Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin’s Executive Director, Paula Havard; and Hospice in the Pines’ Executive Director, Demetress Harrell; along with local pastors who will lead us in a time of prayer for our community.

Remember, as we begin this New Year with hope and jubilation, to share moments of life and love with those around us and capture a lifetime of memories during our journey. Just as we enter this world with joy, may we too depart from this world with the open door to God’s eternal Kingdom with no more pain or hardship. Life is precious; let us enjoy it to the fullest.
