A Lufkin native, she is a graduate of Hudson High School and Angelina College. She has a background in print journalism and worked for many years as a newspaper reporter and a freelance writer. Heads Up! Wednesday from 8 am – 12 pm, the exit ramp from SL 287/US 59 to SH 103 East/Atkinson Drive in Lufkin will be closed for further hazmat work required after a recent crash at this location. Motorists should prepare to take alternate routes, reduce speed and expect delays.
