One Book, One City- True Grit Roundtable at the Public Library

(Nacogdoches, TX) – The One Book, One City initiative presents SFA English Professor Kenneth Untiedt and Associate Professor Kevin West for a roundtable discussion of the novel True Grit, by Charles Portis. Topics of discussion are sure to include justice, vengeance, law, and lawlessness; regional depiction; age and gender; religion; and the novel’s film adaptations and continuations. The program will be held on Friday, October 6th at 4:00 p.m. at the Nacogdoches Public Library. The program is for ages 18 years and up.
