The league named Leah Powell to the All-WAC Second Team, per the Wednesday afternoon release from the conference office. Powell claimed 131 kills (3.05 K/S) while playing in all 13 conference sets, accounting for 148.5 points (3.45 PTS/S) to complete her regular season campaign.

“Leah is so consistent from one night to the next and her role has also expanded over the past few weeks,” said Head Coach Debbie Humphreys. “She is statistically toward the top in hitting % for OH.”

Powell reached double-digit kills in nine of 13 conference matches, slamming down 10+ kills in her final seven matches of the regular season. She clipped 17 kills at Tarleton (11/4) paired with 17 digs as her most notable outing, notching 22 digs on the road at Lamar to enhance her defensive ability (10/16).
