Governor Abbott Appoints Thomas as Director of the Office of Community-Based Care Transition

 Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Theresa “Trisha” Thomas as the Director of the Office of Community-Based Care Transition for a term at the pleasure of the Governor.

Theresa “Trisha” Thomas of Pflugerville has over 30 years of human services experience in county, state, federal and contract positions, including seven years as the Child Support Director of the Kansas Department for Children and Families. She is a current member of the National Child Support Enforcement Association Research Committee. Additionally, she is a former board member and conference planning committee member of the Western Intergovernmental Child Support Engagement Council, and former secretary, regional representative, and member of the National Council of Child Support Directors. She is a former member of the Iowa Bar Association, D.C. Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Juris Doctor degree from Creighton University School of Law.
