Workshop at the Nacogdoches Public Library
(Nacogdoches, TX) – The Nacogdoches Public Library staff will present two free workshops on completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for high school juniors and seniors and their parents.
Participants should come prepared with their 2020 W-2s and 2020 IRS tax returns and personally identifiable information, such as date-of-birth and social security numbers. Each student and a parent will need to create an FSA username and password on studentaid.gov, prior to the event.
“Financial aid is available to help students pay for tuition at colleges, universities and vocational and career schools. The application is not difficult, but can feel intimidating the first time families complete it. We want families to know that we can
direct them to help resources so that they don’t risk missing out on aid opportunities,” said Mercedes Franks, library manager. The workshops, offered in English and Spanish, take place Saturday, December 11 at 1:00pm and Tuesday, December 14 at 6:00pm. Please register at www.nactx.us/library or by calling (936) 559-2970.
