Angelina County Extension Office Holds Canning Workshops

Angelina Extension is holding a Fruit Jam Canning Workshop on Monday, June 20, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Hudson ISD Culinary Lab. The class will cover reliable, safe and researched methods for preserving fruit. Participants will receive hands-on instruction, recipes, and two jars of the finished product to take home.

Space is limited to 15 participants. Cost is $20.

Registration is due by June 14 to the Angelina County Extension office.


The Angelina County Farmers Market and the Extension Office will hold the Annual Fruit, Vegetable and Canning Show on Saturday, June 25 at the Farmers Market.

Entries are free and accepted from Angelina and surrounding counties that border Angelina. Entries are accepted from 9 to 10 am with results given at 11 a.m.
