LUFKIN, TEXAS, June 1, 2017 –
Angelina College will offer virtual advising during June and July. This new tool lets students meet with their advisors using Collaborate software on their smart phone, tablet or desktop computer.
“We realize that many of our students live in areas outside of Angelina County. We want to provide an easy way for them to have access to their advisors without having to travel long distances. This new tool makes meeting with an advisor much more convenient,” said Sellestine Hunt, associate dean of Student Services.
Virtual advising makes schedule planning fast and easy. The process is simple. Students make an advising appointment with Student Services and an email will be sent to them, providing an access link to a virtual room where they meet with their advisor.
