AC Soccer Hosting Sophomore Night in Tuesday Doubleheader

Date:

They arrived at Angelina College knowing they would play here for just one year, but the sophomore members of the Lady Roadrunner and Roadrunner soccer teams leave behind them a place in the college’s history.

Those sophomores were part of AC’s very first soccer program birthed just this year, and now both teams will close out their first regular seasons this week beginning with tonight’s doubleheader against Jacksonville.

The Lady Roadrunners will host Jacksonville’s Lady Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. Sophomores scheduled for recognition in pre-game ceremonies include Kelly Copeland, Alizah Mendoza, Allie Chapman, Ashley Felan, BB Arevalo, Bre Hinojos, Christine De La Paz, KK Reynoso, Lauren Martinez, Lauren Voss, Leslie Saenz and Max Hinojosa.

The Lady ‘Runners will close out their regular season at home Saturday against Navarro College.

Tonight the Roadrunners face the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m., with sophomores Fredie Barboza, Greg Rojo, Lalo Escareno and Mickey Raine suiting up for the final time for Angelina College.

Both games will take place at Jase Magers Field at Lufkin High School.
