Roadrunner Baseball:
The Roadrunners played their season finale on Monday against Temple College, falling 13-8 at Poland Field. AC recognized its 18 sophomores in a post-game Sophomore Day Ceremony.
Lady Roadrunner Softball:
The Lady Roadrunners finished off their regular season with a 5-4, 6-4 sweep at LSU-Eunice on Wednesday. AC’s ladies next will vie for another trip to the upcoming NJCAA Division I Softball National Tournament; the Lady ‘Runners open the regional tournament this Friday at San Jacinto College.
AC will open the tourney against Navarro College at noon on Friday. Here’s the opening-day schedule for Friday, May 13:
Game 1: Navarro College (No. 3 East) vs. Angelina College (No. 2 South), 12 p.m.
Game 2: Blinn College (No. 3 South) vs. Tyler (No. 2 East), 2:30 p.m.
Game 3: Coastal Bend (No. 4 South) vs. Bossier Parish CC (No. 1 East), 5 p.m.
Game 4: Paris College (No. 4 East) vs. San Jacinto College (No. 1 South), 7:30 p.m.
Saturday (Round 2):
Game 5: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 3, noon
Game 6: Loser Game 2 vs. Loser Game 4, 2:30 p.m.
Game 7: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2. 5 p.m.
Game 8: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4, 7:30 p.m.

Baseball Camps:
Evaluation Camps: In an effort to find more future Roadrunners, the AC baseball team will hold a pair of evaluation camps for prospective players ages 16 and older in May and June. Those sessions will take place on Saturday, May 28 and Thursday, June 9 at Poland Field on the Angelina College campus.

Baseball Youth Camp:
Angelina College baseball coaches are offering a three-day summer camp for young players ages 6-13 beginning Monday, June 6 and running through Wednesday, June 8 at Poland Field on the Angelina College campus. Camp times will run from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
NOTE: Full-time AC employees will receive a 50 percent discount on registration/camp fees.
