BLACK VIOLIN is “Beyond Amazing”

Date:

Public Concert Feb. 9, 7 pm at the Temple Theater

“Beyond Amazing! Unbelievably great duo! …Classically trained and brilliant. These guys are truly talented musicians and entertainers with an inspired message!”… These are just a few of the recent comments from last month’s BLACK VIOLIN performance in Arizona. Tuesday, February 9th, at 7 pm Angelina Arts Alliance proudly presents BLACK VIOLIN, at the Temple Theater on the Angelina College campus. Expect a high-energy, interactive performance that will have the young and the young at heart dancing in the isles. This special live concert was originally to be held in the Lufkin Middle School Auditorium, as part of the 2015-2016 Schooltime Outreach Series. Any tickets for BLACK VIOLIN that show the Lufkin Middle School location will be honored at the door at the Temple Theater. For more information call the box office at 936-633-5454.

‘Kev’ Marcus and Wil-B along with their DJ TK have created the ultimate synergy between classical and Hip-Hop music and with it an incredible opportunity to reach young children. BLACK VIOLIN captivated the audience in Harlem and clinched the Showtime at the Apollo 2005 Legend title. BLACK VIOLIN’s notoriety has risen with their amazing performance accompanying Alicia Keys at the 2004 Billboard Awards, and by performing on the same bill with some of the industry’s biggest artists. This family friendly concert promises to be as thrilling for the parents in the audience as it is for the children and students. It is also ‘pocket-book’ friendly with tickets priced at $5 for adults and $3 for children / students. The 2015-16 Schooltime Series is underwritten by funds generously provided by T.L.L. Temple Foundation, with additional sponsorship support from The Heart Institute of East Texas, Mary K. & Clifford Grum, and Goodwin-Lasiter-Strong.

For more information visit the Temple Theater Box Office on the Angelina College Lufkin campus, weekdays 11 am – 5 pm or call (936) 633-5454, or go online at www.angelinaarts.org . Details and video clips from the entire season are on the Arts Alliance website. Follow Angelina Arts Alliance on Facebook for late-breaking news, photos, videos and ticket giveaways.
