If others will do their part, the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners and Roadrunners will do theirs.
AC’s basketball teams in February are sponsoring a Three-Point Challenge, and the teams are asking fans to provide the assists by pledging money for every three pointer a player makes throughout the month. Each swish of the net leads to more money for cancer research.
Those accumulated donations in turn will go toward the American Cancer Society in the constant battle to help shoot down the disease. The teams then will make a presentation to ACS during Coaches vs. Cancer events taking place on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Angelina College.
For the entire season, the Roadrunners have connected on 133 three pointers, while the Lady Roadrunners have knocked down 123.
