The Pines Presents: Gary Morris, Thursday, April 20

Date:

Due to an unforeseen conflict Pines Theater officials said the scheduled April performance with Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett had to be canceled.

Jarrod has been chosen for a lead role in a new Broadway musical and will not be able to make it to Lufkin. Fortunately, officials  were able to catch Nashville recording artist Gary Morris on his way through Texas.

Morris’ voice is the only instrument needed to move your heart and soul, and his vocal mastery can hold audiences mesmerized in total silence. Morris has recorded 12 albums producing 16 Top 10 and five #1 hit singles, including “Why Lady Why,” “The Love She Found in Me,” “Baby Bye Bye,” “100% Chance of Rain,” “Leave Me Lonely” and “Wind Beneath My Wings.”

In 1984, his original rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings” won both the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Song of the Year Award. In 1982, he was also named Billboard’s “Male Artist of the Year.”

Morris has also starred on the Broadway stages in roles such as Rodolfo in “La Bohéme” and the lead role of “Les Miserables” as Jean Valjean, which received resounding critical praise and the Drama Desk Best Actor nomination.

Whether Morris is melting hearts with his voice and music or amazing critics with his acting ability on the Broadway stages, there is no doubt that Gary Morris has many gifts to share.

Come share in the gift of Gary Morris at The Pines Theater, Thursday, April 20th at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at thepineslufkin.com or by calling (936) 633-0359.
