Old Town Bethlehem Comes to Lufkin

Date:

An Evening in Old Town Bethlehem, an annual Christmas attraction and fundraiser held by Lufkin First United Methodist Church, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, and Saturday, Dec. 3 at the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin.

The event recreates the town of Bethlehem during the time of the birth of Jesus Christ and the census. “Citizens” and “travelers” will be dressed in time period clothing and booths will be set up to imitate a marketplace. Food, crafts, wooden instruments, and more will be offered for free.

Roman soldiers will even be there to “arrest” citizens who did not pay their taxes.

For more information on An Evening in Old Town Bethlehem, contact Lufkin First United Methodist Church at cbrink@lufkinfirst.com or (936)-639-3141.
