Mission Tejas State Park Hosts Guided Valentine’s Hike

Date:

If you’re in the Alto area this upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend and looking for an excuse to get outside with your significant other, then Mission Tejas State Park has you covered:

“It’s Complicated” ― Guided Valentine’s Hike

Non-symbiotic Valentine’s day? Hopefully you’re not stuck with a parasite!

We like to think our human relationships can get complicated, but compared to the natural world things are pretty straightforward!

– From fungi to ferns, pine canopy to parasitic critters, relationships in the forest are multi-layered.

– Life in the Pineywoods is all interconnected. Join us for a hike and learn about some examples of how hidden and complex these love connections can be!

Meet: At the Commemorative Mission at 3:00pm Saturday.

Difficulty: The hike is <1.5 miles on easy packed terrain.

Duration: This program typically takes 1 – 1.5 hours depending on group pace and questions.

What to Bring: Water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, and your inner matchmaker.

***Attendance to this event is open to the public and free AFTER regular day use or camping fees. ***
