Georgia-Pacific Employees Collect Shoes for Needy Angelina County Students

Date:

Angelina County students will step out in style as they head back to the classroom this Fall. For the last couple of weeks Georgia-Pacific employees in Diboll have been collecting new shoes for children in need. It was all part of the Buckner Children and Family Services’ annual shoe drive. Close to 50 pairs of shoes—from athletic sneakers and walking shoes to tennis shoes adorned with glitter and bows—were purchased by GP employees and donated to the non-profit organization. The shoes will be distributed to children during the Angelina County Junior League’s annual Back-to-School Bonanza in August.
