Career Fairs Come Across East Texas, Louisiana

RoyOMartin, an employer of choice in Central Louisiana, is now hiring production team members for its Chopin plywood and Oakdale OSB manufacturing facilities in Louisiana, as well as for a new, state-of-the-art oriented strand board (OSB) facility being built in Corrigan, Texas.

Job Description for Production Team Member

The primary responsibility of production team members is to safely operate production equipment used to make wood products. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining proper housekeeping; troubleshooting mechanical issues; actively participating in process-improvement and problem-solving sessions with fellow team members; and cross-training on different machine centers. RoyOMartin production facilities operate 24 hours a day, with most production team members working rotating, 12-hour shifts.

Initially, and until production commences in fall 2017, individuals selected for the production team member position at Corrigan OSB, L.L.C. will complete extensive safety and operations training at the Oakdale facility and perform clean-up duties at the Corrigan construction site. Upon plant start-up, production team members will transition into full production roles.

2. Candidates who successfully complete the pre-screening process will be contacted by the Center and invited to a career fair at the Center from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, September 22. Candidates are asked to bring references from previous employers to the career fair.

Attendance at the RoyOMartin-Plywood career fair is open to applicants who have been unable to preregister using the steps above. We simply ask that you attend prior to 10 a.m.
