LUFKIN, TX – Angelina College is offering a Web Technology program starting this fall. The program is a two-year course of study leading to an associate degree. A one-year certificate is also available.
The future for those choosing this field is bright, according to Saundra May, AC computer information systems instructor. “The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the job outlook for web developers is above average for the next ten years,” said May.
The Web Technology program combines courses in computer technology from the Social/Behavioral Sciences & Business division with courses in computer digital art, imaging and design from the Fine Arts division.
Students enrolled in the Web Technology program will learn to design, create and maintain web sites for individuals and small to large organizations of all types.
